Bank seizures may foreshadow worse turmoil in Venezuela
The Venezuela government took control of seven banks, including another three on Tuesday because of a weakening economy and profligate spending. The latest moves finish off a week of financial turmoil in the country, and continued nationalizations could very well start a crisis leading to bank runs and severe economic instability.
