Korea National Oil looks to Canada
CBJ Jan 25 - Korea National Oil Corp. is looking to Canada as the state-owned, multi-billion dollar company tries to ramp up production and catch up with Asian competition. KNOC, as the company is known, will spend $6.5 billion on M&A in 2010 in an effort to cut South Korea’s near-total dependence on imported oil. KNOC will be looking at assets offered by Canadian companies Suncor Energy SU-T and Talisman Energy.
